For Dr. Nazario Lugo, embracing the journey—wherever it may lead—has always come naturally. After completing her doctorate at the University of Puerto Rico, Beatriz went on to practice dental medicine in San Juan. It was by chance that she found herself in Miami, which led to yet another unexpected adventure. After 10 years treating adults, Beatriz discovered her true passion was with children. She went back to complete her residency in Pediatric Dentistry and has since joined the team at Casa Smiles. Her youthful spirit brings a fun-loving energy to the practice…and big smiles all around. In her free time, Beatriz can be found on the dance floor, mastering the stamp and tap of Flamenco. She also enjoys taking the lead in the classroom, volunteering as a mentor for dentistry students. But at the end of each day, what makes her smile most is Candela, her adorable four-legged friend.
